Interface

The workspace mainly consists of the following sections:

1️⃣ Navigation Bar: Located on the left, with quick access to AI PPT, Knowledge Base, AI Translation, etc.

2️⃣ Assistant List: On the left side, providing fast access to various assistants and their conversation portals.

3️⃣ Conversation Area: At the top center, showing the current dialogue with the selected assistant on the current topic.

4️⃣ Model Tools: Necessary options for model selection, smart internet access, file upload, etc.

5️⃣ Input Area: At the bottom center, supporting text, images, files, and voice input.

6️⃣ Conversation History: On the right, showing a record of conversation topics, associated with the assistants on the left.

Tinychat comes with a built-in list of assistants, featuring 14+ categories and over 400 tools. Simply find the desired assistant and click "Add Assistant & Chat" to start a conversation.

The conversation area is the main place to interact with the AI assistant:

Tinychat supports a variety of file formats, making it easier to share and analyze documents with the AI assistant.

4️⃣ Knowledge Base

The AI Knowledge Base is a powerful personalized knowledge management system. By importing various documents, the AI assistant can provide precise answers and analysis based on your custom knowledge.

Select knowledge bases you wish to use; once selected, chats will prioritize replying based on the knowledge base content.

When a knowledge base is selected, chat responses will reference its contents.

5️⃣ Model Parameters

Some models have parameters that can be adjusted. Modifying these parameters changes the model's output behavior.

⚠️ Tip: Adjust with care; not recommended unless familiar with effects.

This is the Temperature parameter. Higher values enable greater creativity but increase randomness (sometimes nonsensical), while lower values make outputs more accurate but less creative, and may even be less verbose.

Official recommendations for Temperature:

Suggested settings:

• 🗣️ General Chat:
  • Factual replies: 0.3-0.5
  • Creative writing: 0.7-0.9
• 💻 Code Generation:
  • Quality focus: 0.4
  • Exploratory: 0.7-0.9

6️⃣ Voice Input

Click the voice input button, grant microphone permission, then enter text by speaking.

7️⃣ Extension Plugins

Plugins are extendable features that enhance the AI assistant's abilities to interact with specific tools or services. By enabling plugins, the assistant can perform more complex tasks.

Just enter the plugin marketplace, install, and activate required plugins. Then type prompts in the chat—all handled automatically.

Example: Artifacts Plugin:

Artifacts is Tinychat's built-in real-time code rendering plugin, allowing instant visual previews of AI-generated code.

Just enable the Artifacts plugin; upon code output, rendering is performed in real time.

📚 6. Conversation History

Unlike ChatGPT or DeepSeek's basic chat windows, Tinychat offers enhanced organization: Assistant → Topic → Records (three-level structure), and the [Topic] is auto-summarized for easier browsing and retrieval.

💡 Tip: Topics are linked to assistants; records are linked to topics.

The right panel shows historical records by topic for the currently selected assistant:
